Another fantastic morning’s work in planning, scheduling, purchasing, preparing & managing the Summer Bag packing – and deliveries – earlier today!
141 bags – totalling – 1283 Kilos – which is a major effort and a 66% increase on last summer’s nominations!
Along with Foodbank volunteers, it was great to have local firms – Reed Business and Cardinus back helping, together with staff from both Sainsbury’s and Argos and Amy from Travellers Legal.
Our aim with each school break is to try to give out bags of ‘holiday extras’ to those families who may struggle without the support of school dinners.
Six weeks is a long time to feed growing tummies!
