There are many Community Cafes in and around East Grinstead area. Some are free, some are by donation and some at a small cost. All are very welcoming!

Good wholesome food. Free WiFi
The Jubilee Centre stock sleeping bags, mats, and some clothes that they can give out. They also work closely with Turning Tides to provide support.
There is also a shower there – ask at reception during office hours.
East Grinstead Food Bank (also based at the Jubilee Centre )
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 1-3pm
Food Bank Crisis Line: 0785 686 4251 – if no reply, leave a message or text and they will get back to you.
You will need a foodbank voucher if possible, from the Help through Hardship line, on Tel: 0808 208 2138 – they can email foodbank vouchers , as well as talk confidentially about benefits, grants etc.
If you have no phone – contact Citizens Advice, doctors surgeries, or churches for vouchers.

Community Fridge Collecting surplus foods and sharing among the community, plus making meals for those needing a helping hand.

Shower facilities are available Monday to Fridays from 10am (term time only). Speak with café volunteers to organise use.

Meeting in The Welcome Café, Trinity Methodist Church Wednesday, 02 April, 10.30am to 12.30pm.
A time to meet together with others who have lost loved ones recently or a long time ago. Everyone welcome.
These mornings, on the first Wednesday of the month, are sponsored by Ballard and Shorthall, funeral directors.
