The Trussell Trust runs the largest network of foodbanks in the UK, giving emergency food and support to people in crisis. Thirteen million people live below the poverty line and in the last year we gave 1,583,668 three-day emergency food supplies to people in crisis.

“I’d like to thank you for taking the time to show me around East Grinstead food bank yesterday.
I was immediately struck by how approachable you and your volunteers are which must go a long way to make people visiting feel as comfortable as possible. It was also really helpful to see the overall process of how clients are referred to you and then the amount of signposting that goes on to other agencies. The warehouse came as a great surprise! I was expecting something far smaller but the range and amount of supplies in there clearly reflects the generosity of the local community. I thought that the specific items for the holidays, Easter and Christmas were a fabulous touch and prevent clients from going without.
I also hope that local business people can also get involved. As I mentioned, we struggled as a family in the early days of being parents but when you get to the point of having a successful business, it’s a pleasure and in fact uplifting to do something to support the local community.”
